Oddly, my passion for films started with two films my Dad brought home when I was 12 years old; a Disney movie called THE LOVE BUG (1968) and Sidney Poitier's 3rd film as a director, UPTOWN SATURDAY NIGHT (1974).  Of the two, the Poitier's film was the one I kept going to again and again.  I eventually got to see the 2 follow-up sequels, LET'S DO IT AGAIN (1975) and A PIECE OF THE ACTION (1977).  In retrospect, I don't think these films are masterpieces, but they were very formative for me, and a time capsules of very tumultuous time in United States history.  It's also an opportunity to talk about Bill Cosby in light of his criminal conviction and his continued legal challenges.  Let's talk about them.
