In the wake of recent revelations, particularly those in the Epstein file, I couldn’t help but reflect on the incompetence of government officials and the grave harm inflicted upon innocent civilians. I wondered if there was a film that encapsulated all these recent events in a timeless narrative. After some thought, I immediately thought of Milos Forman’s “Ragtime” a film that beautifully captures the diverse social classes, races, and wealth dynamics of early 20th-century New York City area. Additionally, I also thought this would be a great opportunity to challenge my sixteen year old impression of the movie by engaging in a discussion about it.
